Mummy MOT®
A Mummy MOT® is a specialist postnatal check carried out by a women’s health physiotherapist to assess how your body is recovering after pregnancy and birth. It looks at your pelvic floor, abdominal muscles, posture, and any postnatal symptoms such as pain, weakness, or tummy separation. Suitable for mums from 6 weeks postnatal — whether weeks, months, or years after birth — a Mummy MOT® provides reassurance, answers, and a personalised plan to help you feel stronger and more confident in your body. Your appointment is relaxed, supportive, and completely at your pace. We’ll start with a friendly chat about your pregnancy, birth, and how your body has been feeling since having your baby. There’s plenty of time to ask questions or share any worries you may have. With your consent, this is followed by a gentle physical assessment to check your posture, breathing, tummy muscles, and pelvic floor. Everything is clearly explained as we go, and nothing is done without your permission. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of what’s happening in your body, reassurance where things are normal, and a personalised plan to help you recover safely and confidently.
